Overview
BITM, Bellary, had the honor of hosting the 2nd edition of the IEEE International Conference on Distributed Computing and Electrical Circuits and Electronics (ICDCECE-2023) from April 29th to 30th, 2023. Organized in collaboration with the IEEE Bangalore Section and the IEEE Information Theory Society by the BITM IEEE Student Branch, the conference was inaugurated in the BITM Auditorium on April 29th, 2023, in an offline mode.

The conference began with keynote addresses from distinguished speakers, including:
- Dr. Piet Kommers, University of Twente, Netherlands, Senior Advisor, UNESCO Learning Technologies.
- Dr. C. Krishna Mohan, Dean (Public and Corporate Relations), IIT Hyderabad.
- Dr. Sudhan Majhi, Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru.
- Dr. Parameshachari B.D., Co-Chair, IEEE ITS, Bengaluru Section, NMIT Bengaluru.
- Dr. Hemalatha K.L., Dean (Student Welfare), SKIT Bengaluru.
- The inaugural session commenced with a welcome address by Dr. K.M. Sadyojatha, Professor and Head of the ECE Department, followed by an overview of the conference by Dr. Abdul Lateef Haroon P.S., Associate Professor (ECE). The release of the conference proceedings by the dignitaries marked a significant milestone for the event.
- Dr. C. Krishna Mohan inspired the audience with his statement, "If you want to be a good teacher, you need to be a good researcher," encouraging the student community to stay updated with the latest technologies.
- Dr. Sudhan Majhi emphasized the importance of participating in technical conferences to enhance knowledge and contribute to societal welfare.
- Dr. Parameshachari B.D. highlighted the benefits of IEEE membership and commended the BITM IEEE branch for its active involvement and technical event organization.
- Dr. Hemalatha K.L. urged students to develop innovative ideas to address societal challenges.
- Dr. U. Eranna, Dean (Student Welfare and Faculty Welfare), presided over the session, motivating participants through his insightful speech.
- Dr. Yadavalli Basavaraj, Principal of BITM, appreciated the efforts of the organizing committee and encouraged active participation.
- Prof. Y.J. Pruthviraj, Deputy Director and Trustee, expressed pride in hosting ICDCECE-2023 as part of BITM's 25th Silver Jubilee celebrations and delivered an inspiring message to the participants.
- Dr. Yashwanth Bhupal, Director and Managing Trustee, emphasized the significance of conferences in advancing research and staying updated in emerging fields during his presidential remarks.
- The inaugural session concluded with remarks by Dr. V.C. Patil, Dean (R&D).
ICDCECE-2023 received an overwhelming response, with submissions from around the globe, including the USA, China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Bangladesh, Spain, South Africa, France, Nigeria, and Ethiopia. Contributions from premier Indian institutions such as IITs, NITs, ISRO, DRDO, and NAL further enriched the conference.
The event attracted over 1,230 scholarly submissions, presenting a significant challenge for the Program Committee. After a rigorous double-blind IEEE review process and recommendations from the Technical Program Committee, 296 high-quality papers were selected for inclusion in the proceedings, ensuring the conference maintained its high academic standards.
ICDCECE-2023 successfully fostered academic collaboration and knowledge sharing, establishing itself as a prominent platform in the field of distributed computing and electrical circuits and electronics..
Objectives
The objective of ICDCECE-2023 was to provide a global platform for the exchange of knowledge and advancements in distributed computing, electrical circuits, and electronics through high-quality research presentations. The conference aimed to promote academic collaboration, foster innovation, and inspire participants to stay updated with emerging technologies.
