Overview
BITM, Ballari, had the distinct privilege of hosting the inaugural edition of the IEEE International Conference on Distributed Computing and Electrical Circuits and Electronics (ICDCECE-2022) from April 23rd to 24th, 2022, in association with the IEEE Bangalore Section and the IEEE Information Theory Society. Organized by the IEEE Student Branch of BITM, the event was inaugurated on April 23rd, 2022, in the BITM Auditorium in a blended mode.

The conference began with a keynote address by esteemed speakers, including Dr. Hamid Reza Karimi from Politecnico di Milano, Italy; Dr. Jerry Chun. Weilin from Western Norway University of Applied Sciences, Norway; Dr. Danilo Pelusi from the University of Teramo, Italy (virtually); Dr. Thippa Reddy Gadekallu from VIT Vellore, India; and Dr. Parameshachari B.D., Chair of IEEE ITS Bangalore Chapter, GSSSIETW, Mysuru, India (in person).
Dr. K. M. Sadyojatha, Professor and Head of the ECE Department, delivered the welcome address, while Dr. Abdul Lateef Haroon P.S., Associate Professor (ECE), provided an overview of the conference. During the inaugural session, the conference proceedings were officially released by the dignitaries.
Dr. U. Eranna, Dean (Student Welfare and Faculty Welfare), presided over the session, inspiring the participants with his motivational speech. Dr. Yashwanth Bhupal, Director and Managing Trustee, emphasized the importance of such conferences in advancing research and staying updated on emerging fields through his presidential remarks.
ICDCECE-2022 garnered significant attention worldwide, with submissions from countries like the USA, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Bangladesh, Spain, South Africa, France, Nigeria, and Ethiopia. Submissions were also received from premier Indian institutions, including IITs, NITs, ISRO, DRDO, and NAL. The conference attracted over 570 scholarly submissions, out of which 170 high-quality papers were selected for inclusion in the proceedings after a rigorous double-blind review process conducted by the Technical Program Committee (TPC).
The conference witnessed enthusiastic participation, with more than 350 attendees, including undergraduate students, research scholars, and faculty members. A total of 165 oral presentations were delivered virtually via the MS Teams platform, showcasing the event's success and its contribution to the global research community.
Objectives
The objective of ICDCECE-2022 was to bring together global experts and researchers to discuss advancements in distributed computing, electrical circuits, and electronics, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange. The conference aimed to provide a platform for high-quality research presentations and promote emerging trends in these fields.
