Entrepreneurship & Development (ED) Cell was established in the Institute on 10th August 2015 with the visionary aim of creating a dynamic and thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem. The ED Cell meticulously framed a set of strategic functions, and its members were entrusted with key responsibilities to ignite the entrepreneurial spirit among students and unleash their innovative potential.
Building on this foundation, the college made a bold leap forward by establishing an Entrepreneurship and Incubation Cell in collaboration with Karnataka Innovation & Technology Services (KITS) (Dept. of Electronics, IT, BT, and S&T, Govt. of Karnataka), as part of the prestigious New Age Innovation Network (NAIN) initiative. A state-of-the-art, 2,000 Sq.Ft. incubation lab was set up, representing a hub of cutting-edge innovation and creativity.

Together, the college and KITS are incubating 10 high-potential ideas every year, fueling a pipeline of disruptive innovations.
The college, in partnership with KITS, has secured a remarkable fund of Rs. 2 Crores for the seamless operation of NAIN, with the funds being released in phases by the Government. In February 2019, an Ideathon Contest was conducted, designed to identify and nurture the top ten most groundbreaking ideas from within the Institute.
A panel of industry experts and visionary technology entrepreneurs evaluated the submissions, ensuring only the most promising concepts were selected.
Each of these ten outstanding ideas was awarded an impressive seed fund of Rs. 26 Lacs, with Rs. 10 Lacs allocated for operational expenditures.
Since 11th December 2018, the NAIN initiative has been rebranded as BITM Research & Incubation Commune for Startups (BRICS), marking a new chapter of growth and excellence. BRICS has since become a beacon of innovation, empowering students to explore their boldest ideas, transform them into Proof of Concepts (POCs), and ultimately develop them into successful market-ready products. With an unwavering vision, BRICS is committed to building the next generation of trailblazing companies, driven by the limitless creativity and curiosity of its student innovators.

This project focuses on fostering collaboration between students and teachers
By developing a web platform akin to Google Classroom but with few more add on features.
The frontend will be constructed using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, while the backend will rely on PHP for robust functionality.
In addition, a desktop application will be created using Python with tkinter for the user interface and MongoDB to handle database management.

The existing bus pass validation system relies on manual ticket checking, which is time-consuming, error-prone, and inefficient.
To address these issues, it is required to develop a card reader system on buses to instantly verify the validity of Student Bus Passes
By integrating with a centralized database, enabling visual indications for bus staff and generating notifications for invalid passes.
