Overview
On 5th December 2024, the club Ignited Minds of the CSE-AI branch conducted an event titled “The Art of Asking AI”. The session aimed to help participants understand how to effectively interact with AI tools like GPT-4 by framing clear and meaningful prompts. It began with an introduction to the fundamentals of AI and its connection to linguistics, highlighting how language models process human language to generate intelligent responses.

Participants were introduced to the concept of large language models, including GPT-4, with a focus on their capabilities and the importance of adopting a prompt engineering mindset. The event covered essential topics such as crafting zero-shot and few-shot prompts, best practices for using GPT-4, and strategies to identify and manage AI hallucinations-situations where the AI produces inaccurate or nonsensical outputs. Additionally, participants learned simple techniques to create effective prompts, use AI for creative and problem-solving tasks, and tackle tricky or unclear questions.
Objectives
- Conducted a student development program (SDP) on Promt Engineering
- The workshop was meticulously designed to cater to both beginners and intermediate users, ensuring that all participants could enhance their understanding of this skill
- This enhanced in providing both theoretical and practical sessions
