Welcome to the Chemistry Department Things for Better Living Through Chemistry Department of Engineering Chemistry at BITM, was established in the year 1997. This Department has huge relevance in the areas of Bio-inorganic, Electrochemistry, Batteries, Solid state chemistry, Catalysis, polymer Nano-composites, and Lubricants. Currently, the ongoing research includes areas like Chemical Kinetics, Bio-inorganic materials and dielectric fluids, and Metal oxides for display applications. Engineering Chemistry also addresses problems with Environment and Industrial Chemistry. Our Department provides outstanding teaching combined with many opportunities to become involved and excel in academics and Research. The Department also has a Research Centre equipped with state-of-the-art facilities & resource material currently 3 students are pursuing research.
VISION AND MISSION OF THE DEPARTMENT
Vision:
Department of Engineering chemistry aims to expose the students to the recent developments in theoretical and practical chemistry.
Mission:
Department of Engineering Chemistry aims to provide basic theoretical and practical knowledge in chemistry to the students of all branches of Engineering.
