Admission Process

As per the Government of Karnataka, AICTE and VTU, Belagavi admission and eligibility criteria, Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) issues the notification to conduct the entrance test (Common Entrance Test - CET).

For Diploma students, lateral entry for direct admission into second year UG (BE) courses Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) issues the notification to conduct the entrance test (Diploma Common Entrance Test-DCET).

The candidate after getting allotment of seat through CET/COMED-K/Management he/she has to approach the Admission Section complete the admission formalities with the following;

  • Allotment letter
  • Original SSLC/SSC/10th/PUC/12th Marks Card and Transfer Certificate
  • Original Study and Conduct Certificate
  • Original Caste Certificate / Income Certificate, if applicable
  • Original Migration Certificate, if applicable
  • Two sets of photo copies of all the above along with 8 passport size photos
  • College Fees, as applicable.
  • The candidate will be allotted a section, either in Chemistry Group or Physics Group and the same is notified on the Notice Board at the beginning of the semester
  • The sections allotted to the students have to be followed and no change of sections is allowed under any circumstances.

Admission to Higher Semester:

  • After the announcement of the reopening date of the college, the candidates have to register for the admission with an application enclosing all the photos copies of previous semesters marks card/s through their department HOD and they have to pay the applicable Tuition Fees / Registration Fees within a week of re-opening the institute for class work.
  • The students who fail to register within the first week of re-opening, will be charged a penalty
  • The names of the students will be deleted, in case they fail to register as per the schedule
  • Any financial matters are required to be referred to the Principal only
  • Once the student is admitted he/she will be under the guidance of the department and all the academic matters should be addressed through the Head of the department only.
  • Students are expected to maintain discipline in the college campus & not to indulge in “Ragging Activities”.

Eligibility Criteria

Students who have passed Karnataka 2nd PUC/ 12th Std, / 10+2 / Intermediate or equivalent exam with Physics & Mathematics along with Chemistry/ Computer Science / Biology and any other optional subject with English as one of the languages of study and should have obtained a minimum of 45% marks.

For SC/ST & other backward classes of Karnataka students only, the minimum marks is 40% in aggregate in the optional subjects in the qualifying examination, irrespective of marks obtained in the Common Entrance Test / COMED-K/ AIEEE.

MBA

Students who have passed the Bachelor’s degree with not less than fifty percent i.e. integer 50% (rounding-off of aggregate percent is not permitted) of the marks in the aggregate of all the years of the degree examinations. However, in the case of candidates from Karnataka belonging to SC / ST and Category I, the aggregate percent of marks of all the years of the qualifying examination shall not be less than forty-five percent i.e. integer 45% (rounding -off of aggregate percent is not permitted).

The students have to take the entrance test conducted by the PGCET for MBA and Admission are counselled for 50% of the seats from PGCET & remaining 50% will be admitted by the institute for the students, who have attended & qualified in the K-MAT / PGCET / MAT / CAT Entrance Test.

How to Apply

  • The students eligible for scholarship are required to obtain the application from the Office after completion of admission process and Apply Online.
  • The SC/ST students who have taken admission through CET must apply for the scholarship compulsorily within the stipulated time only.
  • The newly admitted students are required to submit the duly filled application along with 02 copies of the CET Admission order, 10+2 marks card, Income Certificate, Caste Certificate to the Scholarship in-charge.
  • The higher semester students are required to submit the duly filled application along with 02 copies of the CET Admission order, Income Certificate Caste Certificate and previous semester's marks card to the Scholarship in-charge
  • Further the same applications will be forwarded to concerned authorities after completing all the formalities at the college end.
  • Immediately after receiving the Scholarship from the concerned departments, directly amount will be transferred to students account (DBT).
